On Twitter a few hours ago, Jeremy Kelly told me he’d told a friend last year about Hint Fiction and it inspired that friend to make a short film. The film is called Broken Moment, and while it says “Flash Fiction” short film, the hint is pretty obvious. Check it out here (click on Skip Animation, then on Films).

Hello, my name is Blue and I am the writer/director of Broken Moment. Thanks for checking out the film and thanks to Jeremy for mentioning it. I am planning on getting a group of directors together to do a short film program inspired by hint fiction. We decided to call our movie flash fiction instead of hint fiction just because it seemed a bit more cinematic sounding.
Blue — thanks for stopping by. I really liked Broken Moment, and I can totally see how it was inspired by the idea of hint fiction. Plus, it makes a lot of sense why you called it flash fiction, as the term is more recognizable to the general public than hint fiction … at least for the time being
Definitely keep me in the loop about the short film program inspired by hint fiction. That sounds awesome!
Now that is really cool!
