In Which J.F. Gonzalez And I Talk About Publishing

J.F. Gonzalez was kind enough to take an hour out of his day to talk with me about publishing, especially the recent fiasco of Undead Press screwing over writers. The links for those two writers in particular are here – When publishing goes wrong…Starring Undead Press — and here – Suffering in Silence. Also, while we were talking, this shit happened. Seriously, this Anthony Giangregorio is insane, and I hope he gets his ass locked up. For the time being, enjoyed today’s podcast.

In Which J.F. Gonzalez And I Talk About Publishing

Great interview! The most telling part for me about this Anthony G. guy’s character is when he wrote in that email response: ”the editor had a hard time with it, it was very rough and he did alot[sic] to make it readable”

The hilarious and sick part is that HE is the editor he’s talking about in his email. Oh, boy, yeah, I’ve discovered this guy’s got a long history of acting in extremely inappropriate ways and then disappearing, only to resurface again later claiming to have ‘turned over a new leaf.’ He’s apparently been threatening physical violence against the people who have called him out. Taking a look at his books online, there are also credible allegations that he’s created several fake Amazon accounts to plant reviews for his books as well as harass reviewers who gave him very well deserved one and two star ratings. If he knows what’s good for him, he’ll go away and this time stay gone.

Time will tell. He might be gone for a little bit, but I’m sure he’ll come back in some form or another, even if he has to use a pen name. Still, writers need to be so much more vigilant about this stuff. Like, just one look at his website should be an immediate turn off.
