I’m mixing things up for this week’s Freaky Friday Fun. After my last post about The Silver Ring (which is now up to 221 downloads so far, thank you very much), I felt it was only fitting to read a little bit of it to y’all. (Well, the real reason is because Smashwords allows authors to post videos about their books, and I’m curious to see if a quick reading by the author has any effect.) This is my first time doing something like this, so please be gentle. And enjoy.
Well done Rob. Finished the book the other day, and quite enjoyed it. If I have a critique, the end was slightly anti-climactic for me, but this is coming from someone who likes more explanation than you would generally rather give, so take it with a grain of… well, you know. I thought you did a good job making the characters emotional responses believable, especially considering the circumstances. Now I wonder if I still have the original version floating around somewhere to compare the two.
