Out With The Old, In With The New

So I've been meaning to get a new office chair. The one I have is pretty old and crappy, and quite honestly, not the best chair for someone like me who sits on his butt for hours on end procrastinating writing. See what I mean ...

Well, I stopped at OfficeMax today to get two manuscripts bound (the reason behind that is top secret at the moment), and while I was waiting I browsed the chairs and was pleasantly surprised to find that the one I'd had my eye on was on sale for, like, $70 bucks off. So yeah, I grabbed that sucker, and just put it together, and without a doubt it puts the old chair to shame.

Soft bonded leather. Adjustable lumbar. Memory foam.

Yeah, I'm procrastinating writing in luxury now!

Don't You Hate When This Happens?

I've talked about this before, yes, but it's always worth bringing back up. When searching for a cover image, you might find the best stock photo ever, but be careful -- others probably found it or will find it eventually. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, as long as the designer tweaks the image a bit, but still ...

Of course, I have no room to talk.

So yeah, don't you hate when this happens?

Dear UK Readers

CreateSpace has finally made it possible to sell directly through Amazon.co.uk. Which means that if you wanted to read any of my novels but don't have an ereader, you can now order from Amazon and the shipping won't be as crazy as if I were to ship them from my side of the pond. Though, of course, if you ever wanted a signed copy, email me and we'll figure something out. For now, you can see what titles are available here.

Hanged Or Hung?

A good time tonight hanging out with authors Steve Umstead, Griffin Hayes, and Joe Hart. We hung out for nearly two hours, talking about -- you guessed it -- writing and publishing and whatever else. There were some technical problems I want to get sorted out before I host another hangout -- like, it seems Google+ Hangouts are not open to just anybody, but rather you first have to be in someone's circles -- so there's that. When will there be another hangout? Who knows. But it was definitely fun talking shop with people I've ever only corresponded with via Twitter or email or blogs. Now, have you seen the trailer for Skyfall yet? I'm psyched. I'm probably the only person who actually enjoyed Quantum of Solace. I think Daniel Craig makes a great Bond -- more true to the actual character Ian Fleming created. I have high hopes for this one.
